Lanzhou University CSC Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Lanzhou University CSC Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Nationality: Must be a non-Chinese citizen in good physical and mental health.
2. Age & Education:
   • Master’s applicants: Bachelor’s degree, under 35 years of age.
   • PhD applicants: Master’s degree, under 40 years of age.
3. Academic Performance: Excellent grades and outstanding research ability.
4. Language Proficiency:
   • Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 or above (valid for 2 years).
   • English-taught programs: IELTS (minimum 5.5), TOEFL (minimum 80), or equivalent.
5. Must not hold other scholarships.

Required Documents:

Applicants must prepare the following documents:

1. Application Form: Complete the Chinese Government Scholarship form (in Chinese or English).
2. Physical Examination Form for Foreigners:
   • Must include a photo, stamp, and physician’s signature.
   • Results valid for 6 months.
3. Degree Certificates: Notarized certificates for undergraduate and above (translated into Chinese or English if required).
4. Academic Transcripts: Notarized transcripts in Chinese or English.
5. Recommendation Letters: Two letters from professors or associate professors.
6. Study Plan or Research Proposal: Minimum of 800 words in Chinese or English.
7. Research Results: Copies of published papers, abstracts, or certificates of achievements.
8. Language Proficiency Test Results:
   • HSK Level 4 (for Chinese-taught programs).
   • IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent (for English-taught programs).
9. Passport Copy: Include the visa or residence permit page if applicable.
